The award ceremony was on Friday the 18th of November at the Mere Golf Resort and Spa in Knutsford, Cheshire. The night was a luxury black tie event with a champagne reception, delicious 3-course meal, entertainment, and the highly awaited award ceremony. During the night, the North East Cheshire Business Awards celebrated the achievements of outstanding businesses within the Cheshire area covering 10 main categories. Leap29 were shortlisted for 3 of the 10 categories, including Business of the Year 2022, Best Company to Work for 2022 and Andrea Mason for Business Person of the Year 2022.

Andrea was up against 2 extremely strong nominees, but in the end due to her outstanding accomplishments over this year she triumphed and was named Business Person of the Year 2022. During the year Andrea has truly embodied what it means to be ‘Business Person the Year’ through her extraordinary contribution to Leap29’s financial performance, people development and contribution to the local community.

The Greater Manchester Business Awards, organised by Rich Media Group, recognises outstanding business achievement in the Greater Manchester region. Now in its fifth year, the awards evening was a glittering black-tie event at the new Central Manchester-based Hotel Brooklyn.

The Investing in Talent Awards (www.investingintalent.co.uk) celebrates insightful, strategically clever recruitment businesses that recognise the value of investing in current and future talent. Unlike most years, due to social distancing unfortunately we were unable to celebrate in person, so the award ceremony took place virtually on Friday 11th December 2020. On the day, Leap29 were up against some very strong competition, including Seven Resourcing in the ‘The Most Effective Pay & Benefits Strategy’ category and Franklin Fitch, Hunter Bond and Seven Resourcing in the Best Recruitment Company to Work For (Small). However, in the end the investment and value Leap29 places on their employees made them shine through as the winners.

For the ‘The Most Effective Pay & Benefits Strategy’ the Judges added:

“Fantastic demonstration of a business that rewards beyond monetary and lifestyle benefits. The judges were particularly impressed with the…strands of benefits…The approach was refreshing and inclusive of all employees. The ownership model is particularly impressive and unique.”
